After the overwhelming response received at the Bird talk arranged by the Students’ Health Home in collaboration with the Birdwatchers’ Society at Kolkata, the members of the SHH at Jalpaiguri expressed their eagerness to hold a similar event at Jalpaiguri.
The event was held at the auditorium hall of the SHH at Jalpaiguri on the 18th of July 2023. It was presided over by Sri Jiten Das, Ex-MP of Jalpaiguri and Dr. Patha Dasgupta. Dr.Kanad Baidya and BiswapriyaRahut presented the 80 odd students and teachers of 16 schools with a colourful insight into the world of Birds. Special emphasis was given in protecting the habitat and birdlife as whole. The students interacted with the speakers and showed keen interest on the subject. The Birdwatchers’ Society expressed their willingness to arrange Birdwalks for the students in near future.
