We are delighted to invite submissions for the upcoming issue of FANTAIL (Volume 4, Issue 3), focused on the mesmerising world of ‘Bird Songs & Sounds’. From the melodious dawn chorus to the unique calls that define species …. bird sounds are a vital aspect of avian life, captivating every living being.
We welcome a wide range of contributions, including but not limited to:
– Articles exploring the science behind bird vocalisations, their functions, and evolution.
– Field notes and observations on bird calls from different regions and ecosystems.
– Reflections on the cultural significance of bird songs across history and art.
– Interviews with bird-acoustics experts.
– Creative pieces inspired by bird sounds (poetry, stories, essays).
– Conservation challenges relating to sound pollution and its impact on birds.
Submission Guidelines:
Articles should be between 800-1500 words.
Illustrations, Paintings, are equally welcome.
High-resolution photographs or sound-related visuals are encouraged.
The deadline for submission is November 15, 2024.
